Denali National Park Information
|
|
Wildlife Viewing
The bountiful and majestic collection of wildlife that inhabits Denali National
Park is as diverse as the spectacular wilderness they reside in. Though visitors
and residents alike generally travel great distances to witness the most
powerful and elusive wildlife, such as grizzlies and tundra caribou, Denali
National Park and Preserve is home to 37 mammal and over 150 bird species.
Flight Seeing
Multiple departures are available each day for your convenience. Courtesy
transportation is available from local hotels, with pick up times approx 1 hour
before flight time. Your 5 or 6 passenger plane departs from a private airstrip
located eight miles south of the park entrance and flies along the Alaska Range
into the heart of Denali National Park. All seats are window seats, and
tours are fully narrated. Weather permitting, you'll fly all the way around Mt.
McKinley itself. Bring plenty of film as photo opportunities abound and a photo
missed is a memory only!
