Few locations in Alaska offer more spectacular rafting opportunities than Denali National Park.
Covering more than 6 million acres, home to North America’s
highest mountain – Mt. McKinley, and filled with abundant
wildlife, rafting in Denali National Park is a highlight of any
Alaska vacation and an activity enjoyed by thousands of Denali
National Park visitors each year.
Nearly all Denali National Park whitewater rafting trips are along the Nenana River, which flows through the Alaska Range and borders the eastern side of the park. The Nenana River offers superb rafting adventures, from serene float sections to more adventurous class III and IV whitewater rafting.
While longer trips are available, most Denali rafters choose a two to three hour raft trips. Float trips are typically to the south of the park entrance and wilder whitewater rafting trips to the north.
Rafts average approximately eighteen feet long and hold six to eight passengers plus an experienced Denali rafting guide.

Alaska's population density is 1.1 people per square mile. The population density of Rhode Island is 1012.3 people per square mile.
If Alaska had the same population density as Rhode Island, the state would have a population of over 600 million, twice that of the current population of United States.
