Banks
A couple of ATMs are in the Glitter Gulch (Nenana Canyon) area, including one at the Lynx Creek Store and Deli. A couple more are at gas stations in Healy, 12 miles north of the park. It is highlyDenali National Park recommended that you do your banking before leaving Anchorage or Fairbanks.

Emergencies
Dialing 911 will work inside the park, but be sure to tell the operator you are within Denali National Park.

Gear Rental
Denali Mountain Morning Hostel and Lodge rents camping gear; a complete kit is $40 for the first day, $10 each additional day. Bikes are for rent at Denali Outdoor Center. Binoculars are for rent at Riley Creek Mercantile and at Lynx Creek Store.

Hospital
A health clinic (907-683-2211) is located in Healy, 12 miles north of the park entrance; it's open 24 hours a day for emergencies, or normal office hours for non-emergencies.

Police
The Alaska State Troopers (907-683-2232 or 907-768-2202) has a post in Healy, 12 miles north of the park, and in Cantwell, 28 miles south.

Post Office
The post office is just within the park entrance, right before the Riley Creek Campground.

Stores
You should do major shopping before leaving Anchorage or Fairbanks, but there are two handy little stores at Denali. Riley Creek Mercantile (907-683-9246) is at the Riley Creek Campground, near the park entrance. It's open daily from 5am to 10pm in the summer. It's an invaluable stop. Besides convenience groceries, they have firewood, some basic camping supplies, RV supplies, made-to-order sandwiches, postal services, Internet access, fax and copy service, binocular rentals, showers, and laundry. A convenience store and gas station, the Lynx Creek Store and Deli (907-683-2548), is on the Parks Highway in the Glitter Gulch (Nenana Canyon) area, just north of the park entrance. They have an activity desk for concessionaire services such as rafting and the Cabin Nite show.

Taxes
The local bed tax is 7%. There is no sales tax.
